White County, established in 1835 was named after Hugh Lawson White, a Whig candidate for President of the United States and has a total area of 1,042.36 sq mi. The County seat is Searcy. The total population of the county is over 77K with a rich blend of different and diverse races including White, Native American, black or African American, Asian, Hispanic or Latino, Pacific Islander, and others with more than 25K housing units and 18K families. It is the second-largest county of Arkansas by land area.
